Key Features
Auto Up/Down
Works like your driver's side car window – press "down" on remote twice (once on unit keypad) and it
deploys until it "finds bottom" – same on retract (one press of "up" on either unit keypad or remote)
Auto-Drive
3-stage Anchoring Sequence: On deploy anchor finds bottom and anchors at ~60lbs of force, waits 3 seconds… attempts to anchor again at ~70bs of force, waits 3 seconds... attempts to anchor again at ~80lbs of force
Rough Water Mode
3-stage anchoring sequence is repeated three times with 10 second pause between each sequence (9 total anchoring hits)
Built in Wave Absorption
Functions like a floating suspension that allows 6" of "float" to prevent the anchor from becoming unseated due to waves and chop
Anchor Depth Indicator Lights - 1 foot per LED
Quick-Release Bracket for Easy Removal
Deployment Notification Alarm at Engine Startup
Sounds an audible alarm if the ignition is turned-on while the anchor is deployed - this is included with each unit, but optional for the user to install

General Information
Amp Draw Comparison
Talon |
Power Pole |
Deploy – 10 Amp peak |
14 Amps (advertised) |
Stow – 18 Amp peak |
|
Both Talon and Power-Pole draw a small current (~30mA) unless power is disconnected from the unit.
For perspective at this discharge rate, it would take ~130 days to drain a fully charged 90Ah battery.
Noise
Noise comparisons are purely anecdotal at this time, however we have not had any concerns expressed
during our extensive field testing period. In regard to noise emission, ours is at the top of the
unit external to the water, while Power-Pole's is in the bilge where the boat hull acts as a speaker and
resonates into the water. Also, Power-Pole units universally exhibit considerable "squeaking" noise
from the hinge points within a short period of use.
